Bucephalus is born in Thessaly, bred by Philonicus. Known for his wild and untamable nature.

At age 13, Alexander tames Bucephalus after noticing he feared his own shadow. Philip II, impressed, declares Macedonia too small for his son’s ambitions.

Bucephalus carries Alexander into battle during the Persian campaign, beginning with the Battle of Granicus.
