Nine Years Raiding Cities Around Troy

Achilles led the Myrmidons in raiding the cities and coastline surrounding Troy — sacking twelve cities by sea and eleven by land, including Lyrnessus and Chryse. He captured Chryseis and Briseis, killed Priam's son Troilus, and became the terror of the entire Aegean coast. No Trojan dared face him in open battle.
