A reflection on Changes in Catholicism was published.

Throughout the span of 30 years, Catholicism in the U.S. underwent 3 massive changes: a “what”, a “why”, and a “how.” The “what” change occurred in 1990. The focus then was on what exactly the Catholic church taught, as many Catholics had little to no understanding of the church’s teachings. The “why” referred to why exactly the church existed, emphasizing mission, identity, and evangelization. And in terms of the “how”, the pressing issue was how the Church planned to communicate to and influence a wide variety of people. Because of these 3 changes, the church overtime found ways to develop new methods of evangelization and in turn recruiting devoted believers.
