Glyphosate Effect on Bees Study

Bufftailed bumblebees can’t regulate colony temperatures, can’t incubate the brood and therefore can’t produce the next generation. The bees raise their own temperature to incubate which uses as much energy as flying. 25% less time to keep their colony warm. Can’t produce new queens. Colonies are running short of food - wildflowers killed directly by glyphosate. Possible damage to micro biome in guts of bumblebees and honeybees. So they spend less time feeding. Damage bumblebee senses - disrupting the complex social interactions needed for successful colony.
