In 989, after nearly a century of being ravaged by the Demons of Irkalla, the kingdoms along the Mediterranean, including the remnants of the Roman Empire, declared a grand alliance, in the interest of driving back the demonic hordes and creating a unified holy force. A young woman from Rome was chosen by YHWH, taking the mantle of Artiya’il, the angel who assuages the people. Her first act was to erase her birth name, her true name, from the annals of history.
