On the 16th of December, 1874, the last Novosel Royal Wedding took place. The young King Kurt was set to marry Melora Plast, a peasant girl who had known Kurt since they were both children. This union, despite (or because of) the lack of political motive, was intensely popular with the Novosel public, and Melora was seen as the best queen Novoselic had had in hundreds of years.
