The Albian Invasion of Novoselic

Despite the end of the Kingdom of Albion, the Navy remained. High Admiral Viscountess Helen Agnes Boothe III was the highest authority belonging to the former government of Albion, and after the disastrous campaign in Songhai, she knew she had to find some base of power, to retake her homeland. Her unfortunate choice of target was the isolated Kingdom of Novoselic.

Albian dreadnoughts landed on Novoselic's southern shores on the first days of 1910. Airships and ground forces spilled out into the fields, contending with both Novoselic's soldiers and the dangerous Beasts that called the region home. Of the 45,000 Albians who landed on the beaches, only 20,000 made it to the city of Grohl. The destruction of the Albian Navy was swift, and the hunter Ingfried Kriegmonte earned a measure of fame by burning Admiral Boothe to death personally.

A little over a hundred sailors survived. The Albian Navy was scattered to the wind, and those who did not defect to Novoselic took up banditry, or joined the mercenary armies of Yucatan far to the west.
