The World's Fair was an event held once every five years, hosted by a different country each time. The 1920 World's Fair was hosted in Mannahatta, an island-spanning city on the eastern coast of the Thousand Nations territory. Many influential inventions were shown off at this event, such as flash-frozen convenience food, the colourised camera, and Nuova Roma's "automa", human-shaped machines that could perform basic tasks. The presentation was cut short, however, when the Automa raised their weapons on stage and began to massacre the attendees. One Automa, the original known as 'Galatea', was not a part of this massacre, and instead escaped the venue on an airship with the Ottoman explorer Samir.
