The following mainly comes from initial traditional tribes in general, not including tribes who have mixed origins and other case-by-case variable exceptions.

As one of the nine foundational tribes, the [Blackmud Demon Tribe] were initially as several of separated underground-living tribes who had associated customs on mineral-mining and clay-craftmanship, sometimes mining dust crystals for exchanging other daily essentials such as food and clothing. [Grimm-form appearance]

In said stage form of Grimm-form transformation, aside from "turning their sclerae's color from white into black" along with their iris will glow at a certain level, single wavy black mud-like linear stripe is appearing and growing under each eye of said user and extend to jaw outline in vertical-symmetrical patterns on face.

Lastly, within the lower-rank family groups of [Blackmud Demon] tribe, there are including farmer (for both dust-farming, crop-farming and livestock raising), digger, miner, fisherman, and even the hunter. [Cultural Aspects]

In terms of food source, aside from various edible mushrooms, mosses, lichens and other cave-living plants (e.g. an unique edible plant called "barked roots" which has a series of large and deeper edible root-appeared stems and has tendency of wrapping around the cave-rocks including stalactites) along with insects (e.g. bread-worms), vermicultures (e.g. earthworms), mollusks (e.g. slugs and snails), cave-living aquatic creatures (e.g. blind crayfish and blind eels) and cave-living amphibians (e.g. frogs and olms) since when be eaten by their own ancestors, they also eat root vegetables (e.g. taro and sweet potato), green-vegetables (e.g. cabbage), beans, algae, poultries (e.g. chickens and quails) along with their-laid eggs, and other small livestock (e.g. rabbit and certain guinea-pig-like rodent ones called "abyss-chubber"). In terms of cooking method, aside from raw consumption like what their ancestors did, they also cook above-mentioned food sources in various methods like earth oven baking, stewing, thermal boiling, roasting and plate-grilling, seasoned with rock salt which is mined from deep under places below the Anima's inland sea and other spices from trading sources, along with preserve said food in these methods like curing and fermenting.

These following dishes are quite common among the [Blackmud Demon] tribal people:

In terms of recreation, aside from above-mentioned blackshell brawlers' arena fight, as well as these common ones among eastern (anima) Grimm-folk tribes such as dual sparring, wrestering and spear throwing, they also play various ball games, which among two of them being most popular among [Blackmud Demon] tribal members: 'rolling cave-floor balls' [while using a drawn colored circle at middle central position along with surrounding several random-placed cones as obstacles as the field setting, the players must throw the certain-fungus-leather-made balls once of the certain times at a colored circle (while being forbidden for throwing the balls into the said drawn colored circle straightly and directly) as closer as possible in shorter amount of time (while also can use these random-placed cones for bouncing platform to get even closer at a colored circle), and whoever is most closer at a colored circle within shorter amount of time] and 'cave-basin handball' [while using a basket which its bottom part is hold on stone/certain-harden-fungus-matter-made holder at middle central position placed on a drawn colored circle on lower part of cave-basin as the field setting, the (about 5 to 6) players from two teams who alternate between the offense and the defense across certain limited sections, that the ones in offense need to score by (only either using hands or using their own Grimm form's single mud-like tentacle)throwing the certain-fungus-leather-made ball (while keeping the said ball midair to avoid the said ball touching the ground) into the basket while the ones in defense need to guard (each one only either using hands or using their own Grimm form's single defensive wall) the basket within said drawn colored circle for preventing those in offence get scored three times (1 score per throwing the ball into the basket) within specific limited time limit in each section, as well as the ball must not keep within the said drawn colored circle and must give the ball back to the ones in offense, and lastly the team with the highest score after the certain limited sections are considered as winning team]. Beyond these above-mentioned sports, they also do clay crafting, weaving, sculpture making, playing music instruments such as clay-flute and hand-drum (made of clay-pot (as drum-shell) and animal skins and hides/ fibers either from plant or fungus sources (as drumhead)), playing board and tabletop games which come from the outside world like Mistral chess (aka chinese Weiqi) and storytelling (especially on mythical ones) in their leisure times.

In terms of trading activity, they mainly use bartering system that utilize hardlight dust crystals which are from both mining source and farming source, as their tribal currency for exchanging various goods like food, clothing, tools, clay/metal-made items. Even though they started to utilize Lien currency from land surface after the end of the great war, they still use hardlight dust crystals as either alternative payment or in more personal exchange among their marketplaces.

In terms of clothing, their common tribal dressing (for both genders) are including thicken-cloth-made full-body-covered attires along with thicken-cloth-made hood hat, gloves, and a pair of bottom-metal-nailed leather boots which these cloths and leather are made of certain fungus fibers they cultivated for providing enough both on protection and breathability, along with a clay-made/paper-molded mask that Internally fill wet vinegar clothes on mouth and nose position for respiration in poisonous-gas-filled subterranean environment. Also, the clothing worn by the tribal members who have the higher tribal status tends to have more (sometimes using the bioluminescence-substance-included ones as well) colors and patterns varieties than those who have the lower tribal status, especially the one worn by "Cyan-gleam chief" which include the cyan (as main color) robe along with hemisphere-topped cone-shaped hat of same color. Besides they use various wearable ornaments as sign of differentiating each of their own individual tribe among the [blackmud demon] Grimm-folk, for example all (including those who are as young as birthed baby) members of certain tribe wear necklace which hang with a small red pearl-shaped ball, while those of other tribes wear a bracelet full of copper rings, a cyan-colored pendant on a rope, or a rainbow-colored metal bracelet respectively etc.

In terms of toolmaking materials, aside from natural materials such as stones, animal skins and hides, animal bones, animal teeth, fibers (both from plant and fungus sources), organic substances (which are mostly from fungus sources), dust crystals, and several earth substances including sand, dirt and clay (which are dig from around the subterranean cave), they also utilize metal from their own blacksmithing productions (albeit at relative limited amounts), and other materials including woods, cottons and wools which are imported from trading sources as well.

In terms of their usual go-to weaponry, aside from knifes and daggers (pushing dagger included), they also use short war-shovel (modified short shovel with sharped blade), short war-pickaxe, short mace, short war-hook, short sword and short spear for melee fight, and use throwing knifes, short throwing spears, stone/dust crystal-launching crossbow along with later-introduced explosive weapons (like primitive-style dust-crystal-infused hand grenades) and firearms (both pistol and carbine shotgun as being most popular among the [Blackmud Demon] tribes) for long range combat.

In terms of religion, their own worldview is that both earth and rocks are the true source of strength and endurance which they have that create the world itself and the world is full of countless subterrain caves and tunnels (so massive that there is no such thing called "sky", only certain air-like cyan-energy flowing around the countless subterrain caves and tunnels), and then the deeper and more underward they go, the more closer to the "world's core" of strength and endurance they get. Aside from the common associations on earth and geology elements among the deities they worship, there are some deities who [Blackmud Demon] tribal members worship the most, such as "the bold builder" (in form as young-teen man whose domain are craftmanship, construction and tribal settlement, who is not only the one who from mere mortal to be divine deity once being contacting with the "world's core" of strength and endurance as the legend said, as well as first creator and builder of entire subterrain world and their own tribes themselves), "cave-mother"(in form as kind middle-age woman whose domain are life, food, clothing, health and community), "cyan-lord" (in form as full-on-body-cyan-colored-skin middle-age man whose domain are ore, trading and wealth), "black-old-miner" (in form as very-dark-skinned long-bearded pickaxe-holding full-muscled elder man whose domain are labor works (mining and digging included), blacksmith and war), "blue-caped wiser" (in form as blue-colored hood-wearing adult man whose domain are knowledge, wisdom, memory and alcohol) and "tunnel-airrunner"(in form as young and happy boy who is always smile on his face, as well as minor deity whose domain is providing safe subterrain travel for the travelers (mainly for [Blackmud Demon] tribal members)), and these above-mentioned deities are usually crafted in form of stone/clay-made sculptures for worshipping purpose. When certain [Blackmud Demon] tribal member visits the shrine of a certain specific deity, they usually appropriate offerings for their own deities they worship to (by putting into the bowl inside the shrine) for appropriate matters, for example few hard hardlight dust-crystals for "cyan-lord", few metal fragments for "black-old-miner" and few drops of fermented liquid for "blue-caped wiser".

In terms of festivals, despite having some number of festivals they held, there are following few important festivals that most of [Blackmud Demon] tribal members go to, for example "new-ore-day" hold at between two months of start of the new year when everyone will receive the pocket full of dust crystals (mostly hardlight dust-crystals along with other types of dust-crystals like fire and wind dust-crystals) provided by "stone-oather" (sometimes by "Cyan-gleam chief" himself) along with the grand feasts, and then "in-cave day" hold at around the end of the winter when everyone will come back into their own tribal settlement while having the grand feasts and chatting with their own tribal members along with exchanging various goods along with other items each other as gift .

In terms of mythological fictional creatures within their oral tribal folklores, despite having numerous amounts of mythological fictional creatures within their oral tribal folklores, there are some of fictional creatures which are most widespread among [Blackmud Demon] tribal members: {rockeating-goblin}[about half-of-the-shin-tall dirt-colored imp-like creature which is very extremely hungry that will eat anything rock-like inside the subterrain including gems, ore, metals and even dust-crystal as well], {emitting-smokeman}[shadowy humanoid figure who emit large amount of mist-like smoke before inhale and eat the lifeforces from anyone who breathe on said smoke with no protection at all], and lastly {tunnel-whisper}[rumored as sort of evil cousin of "tunnel-airrunner", who not only will guide the traveler in wrong direction malicious-intentionally through whisping, but also sometimes cause cave-collapse that endanger said traveler without any warning].
