Most life remains in the relative safety of the minor Towers, or the Charn Great Spire. Generations live and die in failing habitats or in the cold depths carved beneath the surface of the world.

Within these confines, humanity lives a desperate existence, with periodic famines, disease outbreaks, and conflict between survivors.

Some life ventures out into the world, but little of it survives, and even less thrives. However, over this time frame, as the miasma recedes, Anutara becomes vibrant once more.
