Danny was beginning to have starshift seizures more and more often as filming neared its end. This is because, since Adult Wendy was planning on marrying Peter and putting her grand plan to join the Pan extended family in motion, she felt like she didn’t even have to bother looking over her kids anymore, much less give them the medication they needed. This led to Danny getting four to ten seizures a day which halted filming constantly and made everyone, including Peter, grow increasingly suspicious towards Adult Wendy. Along with Danny’s medical neglect, signs of Jane's mental neglect began to become more obvious to everyone, including her becoming hyper-responsible very quickly, constantly validating everyone except herself, and anxiety about not being “not good enough for the family”. All of these signs slowly seeping out caused subtle outrage and even worse onset tensions, , with Peter even going as far as to occasionally ignore Adult Wendy on purpose out of resentment. But the worst part was the day Adult Wendy was gonna ask Peter to marry her. Not because she actually did it, but because before she could, Bucky of all people decided to share his cookie with Danny. Now, while that might not sound like much on paper, it was REALLY bad news for Adult Wendy because starshift seizures are often triggered by sugary stuff. Adding onto that, Adult Wendy by that point had completely stopped giving Danny his pills, or rather, Danny had stopped asking for them. All of this culminated in Danny suddenly having the worst seizure he had ever had up until that point, with its peak involving him shaking and seizing literally as if he was having an actual shaking seizure. This all happened just as Wendy was about to pop the question and she was interrupted by the bloodcurdling scream of Bucky, forcing both of them to run outside Peter’s dressing room and see what was going on. Luckily the seizure only lasted a few minutes and was able to be calmed by Peter cradling/rocking Danny in his arms. Everyone of course was traumatized by the entire ordeal…everyone except Adult Wendy, apparently, who stupidly decided to ask Peter to marry her JUST AS Danny was waking up from the seizure. This, understandibly, made Peter unfathomably angry and Peter just outright yelled at her for a full hour before screaming “I never wanna see ya again, Wendy!” and marching away (don’t worry, Danny was in a whole other room). This event basically solidified Adult Wendy as the universally hated character onset and by the time the filming wrapped and the movie came out (to a good amount of success by the way), no one wanted anything to do with her. Peter even planned to pull the joint custody card but before he could even put it into motion, he was suddenly taken on a plane in his sleep by the Disney execs for press touring after the success of the movie. This left no one but Wendy able to have full custody of Jane, Danny, and later Young Wendy, and boy did she let Danny have it. Firstly, she scolded him to no end and the moment she got a house for her and the kids to live in, she immediately sent Danny to his room for grounding although by that point it had been months since the seizure incident. Things really only got worse for poor Danny after they moved in as Adult Wendy started ignoring Danny’s needs even more to the point where, by the time Young Wendy came into the family, Adult Wendy completely ignored Danny in general, even if he was in the room with her and talking to her. Danny was also confined to his room most of the time and the only times he was allowed to come out was when either he needed to go to the bathroom or for dinner. All of this blatant neglect and abuse from Adult Wendy prompted both Young Wendy and Jane to go behind her back and take care of/spend time with Danny despite Adult Wendy making a hard rule not to interact with him on any level. But despite this attention, the girls couldn't actually fill the void Danny now had as they were also being neglected and put down by Adult Wendy, with her telling Jane that Peter dumping her was all Jane’s fault, and also putting Young Wendy down ALWAYS, knowing she was already insecure from her past and great separation trauma.
