Danny and all the other return to neverland characters are created by King Mickey including Adult Wendy Darling & Jane Darling. However, filming on the movie doesn't yet start as the lost boys from the first Peter Pan movie still have not been found by the Starkid Association who were actively working to find the group after their separation in 1966. However, Danny, nor anyone else from the return to neverland lineup knew this. Nonetheless, all of the next-gen Darlings (what the Disney company called them) were taken to live with Peter Pan in his Manson for the time being, with Peter and Adult Wendy even gaining joint custody of Jane & Danny (a detail that later becomes extremely important). While the relationship between Peter, the kids, and Adult Wendy started out stable, the relationship between Peter and Adult Wendy had a hint of fakeness to it. Nothing noteworthy yet, but something Danny secretly picked up on as the days passed.
